LogIT (سجلها) is a habit tracker for iPhone built and maintained by Yasser AlMisfer. This document describes what data the app touches, where that data goes, and what rights you have over it.
The short version: LogIT does not collect any data from you. Everything you log stays on your device.
What data the app handles
LogIT stores the following on your device only, in Apple’s SwiftData persistent store inside the app’s sandbox:
- Habits you create — name (English and optionally Arabic), icon, colour, category, type (counter / check-in / event / rated event / geofence), goal flag (good or bad), daily target.
- Log entries — timestamps of each habit you logged, optional rating, optional duration, optional note, optional location reference.
- Categories you create — name (English and Arabic).
- Locations you create — name, latitude/longitude, radius, geofence triggers.
- Reminder schedules — per-habit time and day-of-week selections.
- Streak state — derived from your log entries; cached for the milestone celebration toast.
- App preferences — appearance mode, language mode (English / Arabic / system), onboarding completion flag.
This data is stored in the app’s local container and in a shared App Group container that the main app and the home-screen widget both read from. Both locations are accessible only to LogIT and to you via standard iOS file sharing if you choose to back up your device to iCloud.
What LogIT sends over the network
Nothing.
LogIT performs no network calls of any kind. It does not contact any analytics service, crash reporter, telemetry endpoint, advertising network, or third-party SDK. It does not call home to any server operated by the developer. The only “outside” interfaces it touches are Apple’s own iOS frameworks running on your device:
- HealthKit (optional, requires your permission) — when you link a habit to a workout type, LogIT reads your recent matching workout sessions from Apple’s Health app to enrich the habit’s stats with duration. LogIT only reads from HealthKit; it never writes anything back. Permission is requested only when you first link a workout type and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Apps and Services → LogIT.
- CoreLocation (optional, requires your permission) — when you link a habit to a place, LogIT registers a geofence with iOS so the system can wake the app on entry/exit events. Your location is processed on-device and is never sent anywhere. Permission can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → LogIT.
- UserNotifications (optional, requires your permission) — when you enable habit reminders, LogIT registers local notification requests with iOS. The system delivers them at the configured times. No remote push notifications are used.
What LogIT does NOT do
- ❌ No accounts. No sign-up. No login. No email collection.
- ❌ No analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Google Analytics, no anything).
- ❌ No crash reporters (no Sentry, no Crashlytics, no Bugsnag).
- ❌ No advertising. No ad SDKs. No tracking pixels.
- ❌ No third-party authentication providers.
- ❌ No third-party fonts (uses Apple’s system fonts only).
- ❌ No data syncing to any developer-controlled server.
- ❌ No cloud backup operated by the developer (your iCloud backup, if you have one enabled, is between you and Apple — the developer has no access).
- ❌ No social features. No sharing identifiers. No referral tracking.
- ❌ No “essential” or “necessary” cookies. (LogIT is a native app; it does not use cookies.)
Children’s privacy
LogIT does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. It is rated 4+ in the App Store and is safe for users of all ages.
Your rights
Because LogIT does not collect any data, there is no data the developer holds about you. Therefore:
- There is no developer-side data to export, correct, or delete on your behalf.
- To delete all your habit data, you can use the app itself: Settings → Reset all data. This deletes every habit, log entry, category, and location from your device.
- To remove the app entirely, delete it from your iPhone home screen. iOS will remove the app’s local data along with it.
Changes to this policy
If the privacy practices ever change — for example, if a future version of LogIT adds optional cloud sync — this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top will reflect that. Material changes will be flagged in the app itself and in the App Store version notes.
