QuitClock is built on a simple principle: your data stays on your device. We don't have servers, we don't track you, and we don't share information with anyone.
Nothing. QuitClock does not transmit data to any server we operate. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK.
Everything you enter — your name, smoking habits, schedule, logs, milestones, money saved, weekly check-ins — is stored locally on your device using your operating system's built-in storage. It never leaves the phone unless you choose to share it (see "Sharing" below).
QuitClock schedules local notifications on your device to remind you when your next cigarette is allowed or when a weekly check-in is due. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by your phone's operating system — they never go through a server we control. You can turn them off at any time from your phone's Settings app or from QuitClock's Settings screen.
When you tap "Share your win" on a milestone, QuitClock generates an image and hands it to your phone's built-in share sheet. You choose whether to send it (and where). QuitClock does not see what you share, who you share with, or whether you complete the share at all.
The home-screen widget reads its data from the same on-device storage the app uses. It does not transmit anything off the device.
QuitClock is intended for adults (18+). It is not designed for or directed to children under 13.
If we ever change how QuitClock handles data — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud-sync feature — we will update this policy and clearly notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
